PBS Evolution

This is a flow diagram I made to illustrate the evolution of Positive Behavior Support (PBS). It emerged from the "anti-aversive movement," which infiltrated professional and advocacy organizations, became wealthy by obtaining funding from parts of the U. S. Department of Education (DOE), trained many students with these funds, used its association with the organizations and the funding agency to write itself into special education legislation, morphed into PBS and convinced the DOE to promote it on offocial web sites, and is establishing itself as a self-proclaimed "new science" through a professional organization and a professional journal.
